WORM Storage
WORM (Write Once Read Many) storage allows data to be written a single time and prevents any modification or deletion for the duration of a retention policy. It originated in compliance use cases but is now widely used for protecting backups and logs from tampering. The accepted view is that WORM capabilities, when correctly implemented and governed, are a critical safeguard against both malicious and accidental data alteration.
