Failback

Failback is the controlled process of moving workloads and data from a recovery or DR environment back to the restored primary environment. It often involves resynchronising changes, validating integrity and minimising downtime. Industry experience shows that failback is frequently more complex than failover, and the consensus is that it must be explicitly designed, automated where possible and practised, not treated as an afterthought.
