Durability

Durability describes the likelihood that data will remain intact and retrievable over time, even in the face of hardware failures or other faults. Cloud providers often express it as many ‘nines’ of durability. Consensus is that high durability for stored objects and backups is essential but not sufficient; operational practices, testing and protection against logical deletion or corruption are equally important.
