Block Storage
Block storage presents raw volumes to servers, which then create filesystems or databases on top. It offers low-latency performance for transactional workloads. Consensus is that block storage remains the main choice for databases and critical applications, and its resilience depends on snapshots, replication and underlying array or cloud durability guarantees.
